Miss Mary Sue Bench Hall, 65, of Stillwater passed from this life on Sunday May 26, 2013 with her family by her side. Services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home and will be held at 3:00pm on Thursday, May 30 at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel. Public visitation will be held from 10am to 8pm on Wednesday.
Mary was born on Oct 4, 1947 in Yale, OK to Dillard and Melba (Dudley) Bench. She attended grade school in Yale before moving to Stillwater, where she graduated from C.E. Donart High School. Following high school, Mary went to work for Gatesway West as a dietary aide for over 15 years. After leaving Gatesway West, Mary spent a year working for OSU at Kerr-Drummond Hall before accepting a job as a dietary aide at Golden Oaks Village in Stillwater. She enjoyed her 6 years at Golden Oaks and made many wonderful friends there before retiring due to her failing health.
Mary Hall was a generous woman and a hard worker. She was independent, friendly, and enjoyed taking care of others. When she was not working, she could be found playing pool, sewing, or shopping at garage sales. She was never happier then when she was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her children Ray Hall and Tammy Thompson. Siblings: Daniel Bench and Kathryn Gilbert. Four grandchildren: Tyler Thompson, Katelyn Bench, Levi McCauley, and Sean Thompson, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
