Maurice “Mo” Stephen Overholt, a lifelong resident of Stillwater passed away at his home on Sunday, May 27, 2018. Funeral services have been entrusted to the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater.
A celebration of Mo’s life will be 3PM Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home chapel.
Mo was born July 17, 1949 in Stillwater, OK, to Wilfred and Alice (Shumate) Overholt. He grew up in Stillwater and graduated from Perkins High School in 1967. After graduation he attended O.S.U. where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. He was an avid OSU fan. Mo also loved football, fishing, and most of all his grandkids. He enjoyed watching his granddaughter Jaci show her swine exhibits. He was currently employed at Griswold Cattle Company as a ranch hand where he had worked for more than twenty years.
He is survived by his wife, Erin Dorsey-Overholt; two daughters, Jodi Fletcher and husband Keith of Stillwater, OK, and Jami Baker and husband James of Morrison, OK; four grandchildren, Brennan Thompson, Anna Thompson, Jaci Baker, and Jackson Baker; three sisters, Nedra Will and husband Eldon of Morrison, OK, Saralee Wallen and husband George of Lakewood, CO, and Delores Dunivan of Stillwater, OK; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
