Maxine Faye (Estes) Dodson, a resident of Perry, died Thursday October 23, 2008 in Perry, OK at her home. Maxine was born February 25, 1932, in Autwine, Oklahoma to Walter and Ethel Nora (Bishop) Estes. Maxine was raised and attended school in the Autwine area near Tonkawa, OK. She later moved to Perry where she was a faithful member of the Perry Assembly of God. She enjoyed baking homemade bread and cinnamon rolls. She also enjoyed garage sales, working in her garden and reading her bible. Maxine was a kind person and enjoyed caring for other people. She described her family and her friends as the "highlights of her life." Maxine is survived by: her daughter Linda Gramley of Perry, Ok; her daughter Debbie Spurgeon and husband Jack Jr., of Grove, OK; her daughter Donna Haven and husband Scott of Weatherford, OK; her brother Roy Estes and wife Margaret of Cushing, OK; and her brother Gerald Estes and wife Sue of Stillwater, OK. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Jeanette Wimberly, Eric Spurgeon, Alex Wilson, Breeanna Haven and Clarissa Haven. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren: Gabriel Cain Wimberly and Dax Wimberly. Maxine is preceded in death by her two husbands; William Thomas Gramley, Jr.and Marcus Dodson and one brother, Billy Estes. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 27, 2008 at 2:00 PM, at the Perry Assembly of God. Pastor Brett Nation will officiate. Burial will follow at the Crescent Cemetery in Crescent, Oklahoma.
