Maxine Knorr

February 27, 1916 — April 10, 2010

Maxine Knorr, age 94, passed away Saturday, April 10, 2010, at her home in Stillwater. Her funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 24, 2010, at Zion Lutheran Church in Stillwater. Arrangements are under the direction of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Stillwater.
Maxine was born on February 27, 1916 in Enid, Oklahoma and was the daughter of William Voss and Flora Kuntz. She grew up in Perry attending the one-room Rose Hill School and later, Perry High School. She was united in marriage to Glen Knorr for over 50 years. In August, 1995, he preceded her in death. In addition to being a homemaker, she worked for a number of years at Sears and Swan Rubber. Maxine was also affiliated with Zion Lutheran Church, the OSU Womens Home Extension Program, and Stillwater Gem and Mineral Society. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and polishing gemstones, as well as spending time with her family. In her final years, she enjoyed the camaraderie and activities lovingly provided by the Life Center.
She is survived by a son, Kenneth Knorr of Stillwater; and her daughters family, Barbara Froman (Greg) and grandson, David, of Beavercreek Oregon. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Lambert and Will Art Voss.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Stillwater Life Center Adult Day Services or Judith Karmen Hospice.
