Michael Edward Carter passed from this life into the presence of our heavenly Father on February 28, 2007 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Michael was 39 years of age.
Michael Edward Carter was born on December 9, 1967 in Denver CO to Mittie Linzy-Carter and Clarence Steward.
Michael was a loving man. In his youth he enjoyed playing superman and driving his older sisters crazy. Michael enjoyed cooking, talking and telling stories. You could count on Mickey to make you laugh till your side hurt. The boy had jokes!
Michael had many talents, but his most undeniable gift was singing. Michael preformed his first solo at Evangelist Temple Church when he was just 3 years old. During Michaels youth he accomplished many musical attributes. One he cherished most and was very proud of was singing a solo at George Washington High schools senior graduation. Michael was the first freshman to have this opportunity. Upon graduating from high school Michael begun working for Denver- Childrens Hospital. He started working in the kitchen but was promoted quickly to a medical receiving clerk, where he worked for 13 years. After the death of his mother in 1998, Michael moved to Stillwater, OK, where he reunited with family and made many friends.
Michael was loved by many. And will be greatly missed.
Michael is preceded in death both parents. He leaves behind to cherish his memory Three sisters, Carlease E. Carter, of Stillwater, OK Valeria Malveaux of Denver, CO and Angela (David) Thornton of Denver CO. Treasured nephews and nieces Jermaine Malveaux, Nakylia Bickham, Journey Hudson, Dazzmond Thornton, Demitrius Thornton, Jeremiah Hughes, DaVaughn Thornton and David Thornton Jr. Treasured great nephews and niece Jacavrion, Briajae and Jaibrien Mosley. Treasured aunts, Elnora Sanders, Willie Ann (Joe) Pradia of Stillwater, OK and Helen (Benny) Rivers of Denver, CO. And a host of cousins and friends.
The family of Michael Edward Carter would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all of you prayers, many acts of kindness.
Services for Michael E. Carter will be held Tuesday March 6 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Solid Rock Church located at 2917 East Sixth Street in Stillwater OK.
