Michael Nathan Melton

Michael Nathan Melton, 43, of Stillwater passed from this life on August 2, 2016 in Tulsa, OK.
Services are under the direction of Palmer Marler Funeral Home and a graveside service will be held on Monday, August 8, 2016 at 10am at Osage Cemetery in Agra, OK. Public visitation will be held on Sunday from 1pm to 6pm at the funeral home.

Michael was born on July 30, 1973 in Cushing, OK to Nathan and Rita (Bloom) Melton. He was raised in the Ripley area before moving to Stillwater for his last two years of high School. While in school, Mike took courses for masonry at a local vo-tech. Following his graduation from high school, he was blessed with the birth of his only child, Jessica. He spent the next few years working for Audio Innovations building speaker boxes for Kicker and working side jobs as a mason contractor for his friends and family. Michael later went on to work for many years as a pumper in the oilfields of Oklahoma.

Michael Melton was an easy going and laid back guy who loved the simple things in life. He had a great heart and always put the needs of others before his own. He enjoyed playing pool and he was talented. He has countless trophies and awards from local and national pool tournaments. He traveled to Las Vegas on several occasions to play in national tournaments
and he participated in 8-ball Nationals several times. He also liked to go fishing with his brother and his father, but he was never happier than when he was spending time with his family or his soul mate and best friend Brenda Henderson. Michael was very proud of his daughter and he loved being around her and his three grandchildren. Michael Melton was a special man who
meant the world to those who loved him and his smile and love for life will not soon be forgotten.

Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents: Leon and Ruby Bloom and Winfield and
Maggie Melton, as well as his uncle Daniel Melton. He is survived by his parents: Nathan
Melton and wife Sharon of Stillwater and Rita Henley of Stillwater; a daughter Jessica Melton of Stillwater and her three children: Kambre, Khloe and Princeton; longtime partner Brenda Henderson of Stillwater; one sibling: David Melton; six step-siblings: Joey Henley, B.J. Henley, Tracy Rhamy, and Carrie Peterson, Jeff Melton, and Wayne Boyd.
