Michael Ray Bales

Michael Ray Bales, 60, of Morrison, Oklahoma passed away on Friday, July 20, 2018 at his home. Arrangements are under the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater.

Memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 11:00am at the Encounter Church in Stillwater. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 24 from 9:00am to 5:00pm and Wednesday, July 25 from 9:00am to 8:00pm at the funeral home.

Michael Bales was born on December 25, 1957 to Bobby Ray and Leana Sue (Morton) Bales in Ponca City, Oklahoma. He grew up in Morrison, Oklahoma and graduated from Morrison High School in 1976. On March 31, 1981 he married the love of his life, Wanda F. Patterson. Together they celebrated 37 years together. This made the home complete as they raised two children together.

He was the president of the Noble County Association, assistant chief for Morrison Fire Department, was a first responder, and a storm watcher. During his free time he loved to hunt deer.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda F. (Patterson) Bales; two children, Stephanie Glenn and husband, Terry, Jessie Alcorn and husband Bob; five grandchildren, Deven Robinson, Tuker Glen, Tracy Eisensmith, Tanner Eisensmith, Katie Eisensmith; one great grandchild, Titan Robinson; and one sister, Tammy Whitson and her husband, Larry.

Michael was greeted by his parents; and grandparents, Bobbie Bales, Henry Bales, G. Bryan Morton, and Jenny Morton.
