Myron was born July 27, 1946 to Clifford Merle and Rhodora Aline (Kienholz) Hise in Covington, OK. He was the middle child and only son of Clifford and Aline. As a young boy, he grew up in Covington and attended Covington Public Schools. He graduated from Covington High School in 1964.
He attended Oklahoma Christian University where he obtained a bachelors degree in Organizational Management. He worked for OG&E for 38 years in the accounting and power supply departments. In 2006, he retired to take on the job of helping care for Kelli’s first child, Blake Michael. He was both Papa and Nanny to Blake from the time he came home from the hospital until Kelli finished residency and relocated to Owasso. Right before that move, a second grandchild, Morgan Ann, was born. Myron loved them and delighted in being their Papa. He didn’t miss a year coloring Easter Eggs with them and was happiest when he was with them or watching their sporting events.
Myron married Marilyn Cassody and they had one daughter, Christa Dawn Hise. After that union dissolved, Myron met and married Heather (Harter) Luton in 1991 and became a wonderful stepdad to her daughter, Kelli Ann.
Myron served in both the Oklahoma National Guard and US Army Reserves. In 2006 he retired with the rank of Captain.
In 1991, Myron accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. He and Heather are members of Friendship Baptist Church in Owasso where they have made their home since 2012.
He is survived by his wife, Heather, of the home; children, Dr. Christa Dawn Hise, DVM of New Jersey, Dr. Kelli Ann Lovelace, MD and husband Dr. Brian Lovelace, MD of Owasso, OK; grandchildren, Blake Michael Lovelace, and Morgan Ann Lovelace both of Owasso, OK; two sisters, Sharon Faye Gregg and husband James, and Melody Kay Smith and husband Duane all of Lucien, OK. Also, many special nieces and nephews and extended family in the Covington and Lucien communities, and Oklahoma City. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister.
During his recent hospitalization, Myron repeatedly asked to go home. His wish has now been granted and he is in his heavenly home with his Savior.
