Naomi Burgess, 73, of Morrison, was born January 4, 1948 in Ponca City, Oklahoma, the daughter of Cyrus Richard and Bertie Lou (Walker) Condit. She passed from this life on Saturday, January 9, 2021, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.
Arrangements for her funeral services have been entrusted to the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home – Stillwater.
Naomi was a lifelong resident of Morrison, graduating from Morrison High School in 1966. She studied primary teaching at Oklahoma State University. Naomi loved many things. She had read every Stephen King book! Almost every one of her pictures have been cut and sorted, ready to put into a scrapbook. Most of all, Naomi cared for everyone and everything…people and animals the same. She was a material handler at National Standard where she retired.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 15, 2021, at Hilltop Church in Morrison, Oklahoma Joe Graham will officiate. Burial will follow at the Morrison Cemetery. Visitation for the public will be held from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home.
She is survived by nine children: Jeff Pennington of Stillwater; Casandra Gillinger and her husband Joe, Morrison; Rodney Pennington, Morrison; Melissa Jennings and her husband Colton; Evelyn Graham and her husband Darrold of Morrison; Billy Curtis and his wife Josephine, Tulsa; Shawn Curtis, Jessie Curtis and Jason Curtis, all of Morrison; one brother, Richard Condit and his wife Pam, Morrison; 13 grandchildren: Jeff Pennington Jr., John Sanders, Russell Sepeda, Ashley Graham, Amanda Kelly, Kelsey Pennington, Megan Sepeda, Austin Graham, Joseph Gillinger II, Justin Sepeda, Greg Sepeda, Aaron Graham and Adam Graham; and 21 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Dan Condit; two daughters: Bonnie and Elizabeth Pennington; and a grandson, Johnathon Gillinger.
Pallbearers will be Chuck Condit, Ryan Condit, B.J. Galloway, Jeff Pennington, Billy Curtis and Joe Gillinger II.
