Norma Jeanne Armstrong

Norma Jean “Jeanne” (McCombs) Armstrong, 76, passed away on December 5, 2019, in Glencoe, Oklahoma. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Dighton Marler Funeral Home in Stillwater. Private interment will be held at Bethel Cemetery in Glencoe. Dighton Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater has been entrusted with arrangements.
Norma was born on June 20, 1943 in Coolidge, Arizona to Lee Roy and Nerva Lorene (Pruett) Cunningham. She grew up in Bakersfield, CA. She received her GED after she got married. She married Idus Mattheuw McCombs on November 19, 1960. After Idus’ death she married Jodie Clement Armstrong on April 11, 2006.
She was an ordained pastor/preacher with the Independent Assemblies, and she loved playing music. She could play the piano and the accordion. She also enjoyed sewing and quilting.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Idus McCombs and her second husband, Jodie Armstrong.
She is survived by her children, Edward McCombs and wife Karen, Christine McCombs, her adopted children, Kyla McCombs, Kelli Hawkins, Aaron McCombs and Linda McCombs-Armstrong. She is also survived by her siblings, Gail Bryan, Sharon Whatley and husband Jackie, Rebecca Penny and husband Roger, Linda Nelson, Pamela Marshall and husband Rick, Cheryl Mendez and husband David, Edward Cunningham and wife Klancy and William Cunningham and wife Donna; her six grandchildren, and six great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
