Otis Darrell Keen, 74, of Perkins, passed from this life on November 29, 2011 in Stillwater. Private services have been entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Perkins.
Darrell was born to Otis Lawrence and Oleta Melinda (McCammond) Keen on May 9, 1937 in Trousdale, Kansas. He grew up in the Macksville, KS area where he graduated high school. On July 10, 1970 he married Emma Pauline (Thompson) Keen in Longbeach, CA at the Aloha Wedding Chapel. The couple made their home in Oklahoma where he worked in oilfields for many years. More recently he was employed by the Stillwater Career Vocational-Technical School until his retirement in 2003. In his spare time he enjoyed going to auctions where he collected old toys, reading westerns, and playing pranks. He was also a football fan who relished the Elway years of the Denver Broncos. Darrell also maintained a farm, where he raised cattle and horses.
Darrell leaves behind a legacy of love in his wife Pauline of the home, children Wayne Keen and wife Elizabeth of Morrison, Daniel Keen of Cunningham, KS, and Renita Stos and husband David of Galva, KS; step children Penny Jennings and husband Gary of Lexington, Clark Rozean of Perkins, and Connie Rozean-Pruitt and husband Paul of Noble; brothers Gary Keen and wife Melva, and Randy Keen and wife Susan all of Ponca City; thirteen grandchildren, and four great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
In addition to his parents, Darrell was preceded in death by two sisters Caroline Wise and Carmen Keen.
