Patricia Ann Perdue

July 16, 1930 — March 8, 2010

Pat Perdue passed away peacefully on Monday, March 8, 2010 at Stillwater Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born in Ellsworth, Kansas on July 16, 1930, the eldest daughter of parents Joseph and Ruby Timken.
Pat spent her early childhood in Kansas where her parents were school teachers. She later lived in Woodward, where her father was the high school principal and football coach. She graduated from Woodward High School with the Class of 1948.
Pat attended Oklahoma State University and was a proud member of the marching band and Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. Her friendships formed at the Theta house were special and continued all of her life.
In 1951 Pat married Kermit Ingham in Stillwater and began her journey as a wonderful, devoted mother to three boys. As her sons grew, she unselfishly gave her time and talents to support their hobbies and activities. Whether carpooling to her childrens sports events, hosting rock band rehearsals and performances in the family garage, or serving as zookeeper to a collection of wild ducks, owls, crows and raccoons, she was always ready with a laugh and sparkle in her eye. Her sense of humor and determination has always been, and will continue to be, examples to her children and grandchildren. These traits enabled her to cope with the health challenges she encountered over the years.
Pat lived briefly in Edmond, Oklahoma and Lawrence, Kansas but spent most of her adult life in Stillwater. In 1974 she married Phil Perdue, who preceded her in death.
Pat is survived by her three sons, Steve (Diana) Ingham of Stillwater, Mark (Ruth Ann) Ingham of Columbia, SC, and Scott (Jennifer) Ingham of Seattle, WA; seven grandchildren (Brandon Ingham, Brian Ingham, Molly Ingham, David Ingham, Andrew Ingham, Sophia Ingham, and Joseph Ingham. She is also survived by her sister Sue (Bill) Bourland of Austin, TX, and one nephew. She is predeceased by her parents, Joe and Ruby Timken.
The family would like to thank all of the wonderful people who were caregivers to Pat during the last several years. A private family service will be held at a later date.
