Patricia Pinson, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2024, in Weatherford, Oklahoma, at the age of 73. Born on July 31, 1951, in East St. Louis, Illinois to John Morgan and Mary Louise (Pettet) Manion, Patricia led a life marked by kindness, love and generosity as she endeavored to live her life with her faith in Jesus.
Patricia’s educational journey began at St Teresa Academy, from which she graduated in 1970. She dedicated over 20 years of her career to the field of Telecommunications, where her hard work and commitment shone brightly. Outside of her professional life, she enjoyed a rich tapestry of hobbies that brought her joy and fulfillment; she had a passion for golfing, shopping, and camping. Above all, Patricia cherished the time spent with her family and was affectionately known as "cat mom," to her little fur babies, creating a warm and loving home environment. She married Gary Pinson on July 20, 2000 in Newport Beach, California. Together they enjoyed the past 24 years making memories that will be forever cherished.
Patricia's family remembers her as a compassionate, supportive and loving person who made a significant impact on their lives. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Gary; her daughter, Christy Strathmann (Wade) of Cushing, Oklahoma; and her son, Matthew Clevenger (Kristian) of Agra, Oklahoma. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Charissa Goode (Nathan), Wade Ethan Strathmann, Collin Strathmann, Ladd Strathmann, Paige Strathmann, Haley Clevenger, and Caleb Clevenger, along with her great-grandchildren, Rowan, Theren, Laith, and Arlen Goode. Additionally, Patricia is survived by her two brothers, James Manion (Jeanette) and John Manion, both of Belleville, Illinois, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends who will miss her dearly.
Patricia was predeceased by her parents; a brother, Tom Manion (Susan); and a sister, Kathy Manion.
A graveside service to honor Patricia's life will be held on October 22, 2024, at Perkins Cemetery in Perkins, Oklahoma, starting at 1:00 PM. There will be a gathering to follow at Wandering Brew Coffee Shop in Perkins, Oklahoma. Her family invites all who knew and loved her to join them in celebrating a remarkable life, filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Patricia Pinson will be remembered fondly for her warm spirit and the indelible mark she has left on the hearts of those she loved.
