Peggy Earlene Ritter

Peggy Earlene Sharpton Ritter, 83, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024, in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, from 9am to 8pm with family greeting guests from 5-6:30pm. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at 10:00am at Dighton Marler Funeral Home in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Glencoe South Cemetery in Glencoe, Oklahoma. Dighton Marler Funeral is entrusted with arrangements.

Peggy was born on March 15, 1940, to Earl and Pauline (Spyres) Sharpton in Glencoe, Oklahoma. She grew up in Stillwater and graduated from C.E. Donart in 1957. She married Steve Ritter on August 16, 1957, in Marion, Kansas.

Peggy worked as a cosmetologist and owned her own salon, Shear Magic, for many years. She was the office manager for fifteen years for her family’s business, Midland Mechanical. She loved fishing, camping, casinos, bowling and all her family and friends. Peggy was the life of the party!

She is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Laura Anne Ritter, her sister Donna Kay Redwine, and brother Hubert Earl Sharpton.

Peggy is survived by her husband Steve Ritter, her children, Stephanie Pickens and husband Bret and Timothy Ritter and wife Terri. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Zackery Ritter and wife Melissa, Tyson Ritter and wife Elena, Heath Pickens and wife Megan, Chad Pickens and wife Kimberly, Cassandra Pickens and Bailey Ritter and great grandchildren Zoey Ritter, Otto Ritter, Viggo Ritter, Judah Pickens, Elise Pickens, Gideon Pickens, Knox Pickens, Irelynn Pickens.

Pallbearers will be Timothy Ritter, Zackery Ritter, Tyson Ritter, Bret Pickens, Heath Pickens, and Chad Pickens.
