Penny Suzanne Nickel Gray

Miss Penny Suzanne Nickel Gray of the Copper Penny in Stillwater, OK was born on January 10, 1951 to Bernett and Marjorie Nickel of Sanborn, MN. Penny unexpectedly passed away on August 20th, 2010 at Stillwater Medical Center in Stillwater, OK. Miss Penny had a passion for life and living, and lived by her own terms. She enjoyed her horses, her dog, her friends and her flowers at her home in Stillwater. Penny was confirmed at Red Rock Evangelical United Brethren Church. Penny completed her Bachelors of Science Degree from Mankato State University, Mankato, MN in 1977 and went on to teach Home Economics for several years. Penny married and had two daughters: Crystalline Gray and Bobbe Gray. Who assisted her with her business as well as following their own endeavors. Penny is survived by her daughters: Bobbe Gray and Crystalline Gray (and special friend Joey Norris) and, both of Stillwater, OK. Her parents: Bernett and Marjorie Nickel, Sanborn, MN; her sister, Victoria (Steven) Koehn of Red Wing, MN; her two brothers: Steven (Mary) Nickel and William (Kimberly) Nickel of Sanborn, MN and their families. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at Lost Creek United Methodist Church, Stillwater, OK starting at 6:00 p.m. with visitation to follow until 8:OO p.m. Family requests memorials be made to Banc First for the establishment of the Miss Penny Scholarship Fund.
