Phillip Eugene Perkins, a former resident of Holts Summit, MO, most recently of Stillwater, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2014 in his home at the age of 62 years.
Funeral services have been entrusted to the care of the Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Stillwater and will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 9, 2014 at Zion Lutheran Church, Stillwater, OK. Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the Ft. Gibson National Cemetery, Ft. Gibson, OK.
The son of the late Paul Perkins and Maxine (Carter) Perkins, Phillip was born on May 7, 1952 in St. Louis, MO.
Phillip entered into the United States Marines on July 31, 1972 where he served until receiving his discharge on August 6, 1976. Phillip spent most of his life living in Arkansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma and prior to moving to Stillwater in March of this year he had lived in Holts Summit, MO for 9 years. While living in Holts Summit he was a proud Friend of Bills. Phillip also enjoyed reading his bible and volunteering at his church in Missouri.
Survivors include Phillips two sisters, Marlena Nobles of Stillwater, OK and Marcene Burns of St. Louis, MO; one grandson, Eric Micheal Perkins; and other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Phillip was preceded in death by his first wife, Susan Perkins, his second wife, Sue (Lacey) Perkins, and two children, Eric Michael Perkins and Phillip Perkins, Jr.
