Randy Hesser

Randy (David R.) Hesser, 52, of Stillwater passed away on October 25, 2011. Palmer Marler Funeral Home has been entrusted with the services which will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 28, 2011 at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel (5106 N. Washington) with Reverend Ron Weathers presiding. Burial will follow at Glencoe IOOF Cemetery.

Randy was born on August 12, 1959 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Richard Lee Creager and Joy Roberson Creager. The family returned to Glencoe in 1960 where Randy grew up, graduating Glencoe High School with the class of 1977. He had a long career at Oklahoma State University in the Student Union and most recently at the Physical Plant where he did renovations, repairs, and remodels. In his spare time he enjoyed motorcycles, carpentry, building furniture, photography, and restoring old cars but his greatest passion was spending time with his 6 grandchildren.

Randy was preceded in death by his biological father, Richard Lee Creager and by his adopted father, Max Oliver Hesser.

Survivors include his mother Joy Laramore and husband Don of Glencoe; two sons Jason Horton and wife Betsy of Edmond, and Shane Horton and wife Jill of Guthrie, , two brothers, Rick Hesser of Ponca City and David Laramore and wife Sarah of Morrison; two sisters, Patty Rogers and husband Steve of Stillwater, Dayna Barton of Glencoe; six grandchildren, Tyler, Tate, Devon, Kaitlyn, Ethan, and Gillian as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the CAAP (Companion Animal Assistance Program), P.O. Box 14, Stillwater, OK 74076 or to the charity of your choice in Randys name.
