Rex Edward Bradley, age 81 of Talihina, formerly of Stillwater, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at the Veterans Hospital- Choctaw Nation Hospital in Talihina. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel in Stillwater, Ok. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery, Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13 from 12 noon to 8pm. Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Rex was born on July 21, 1934 in Hydro, Oklahoma to the late Edward Elvin and Viola (Griffith) Bradley. He grew up in Hydro, Oklahoma.
Rex was united in marriage to Eleanor Ann Bradley in Hydro. OK. They eventually made their home in Leadville, CO where they raised their family. Rex worked as a miner for Climax Molybdenum for many years, retiring in 1987. After retirement, he managed a K.O.A. camp ground in Greely, CO.
Ann and Rex eventually moved to Stillwater in 2007. Rex enjoyed hunting, fishing, and puzzle books. He became friends with the Chaplain during his stay at the VA Hospital.
Survivors include his three sons, Harold Ed Bradley, Ricky L. Bradley and Donald Ray Bradley; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
