Richard Charles Kuhlenshmidt

Richard Charles Kuhlenschmidt, 33, of Stillwater passed from this life on Sept 21, 2014 as a result of a tragic accident. Services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater and a service celebrating Richards unique life will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Southside Baptist Church at 10:00am.

Richard was born on August 24, 1981 in Oklahoma City to Ralph Charles and Tamara Ruth (Powers) Kuhlenschmidt. He grew up in the Tulsa area before moving to Stillwater in 2001 to accept a job at Direct Discount Tire. After a couple years at the tire shop, Richard moved on to other ventures. Richard married Ruby Skinner and the couple had two children: Dalton Skinner and Robby Kuhlenschmidt . Richard also has 3 children with Poletta Guffey: Jimmie Guffey, Ray Kuhlenschmidt, and Ryan Kuhlenschmidt. He also has two children by Shelly Spring: Ryden Spring and Rhys Spring. In 2010, he began a career as a plumber with Accurate Plumbing, a job he enjoyed and excelled at doing.

Richard was an independent man who was as loving as he was stubborn. He had a great smile and beautiful long hair and possessed the ability to make you feel like you were the most important person in the world. He was a hard working man who loved his family. He rarely missed a chance to support his children at their school and athletic activities. He was a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Stillwater. Richard found peace in riding horses, hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle and his family finds peace in knowing that Richard died doing what he loved, riding his Harley.

Richard was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Charles Kuhlenschmidt Jr and grandfather, Ralph Charles Kuhlenschmidt Sr. He is survived by his wife Ruby, his 7 children: Jimmie, Dalton, Ray, Ryan, Robby, Ryden, and Rhys. Richard is also survived by his four siblings: Becky, Rose, Rita, and Regina Kuhlenschmidt, as well as many special friends and other family members.
