Richard Frank Minnix

Mr. Richard Frank Minnix passed from this life on Friday June 1, 2007 in Stillwater, Oklahoma at the age of 76. Richard was born January 22, 1931 in Sumner, Oklahoma to Elmer and Loraine Cromwell Minnix. Richard served his country faithfully for 2 years in the Unites States Army and served 8 years in the Army Reserves. He was a member of the Glencoe American Legion and a Mason in the Stillwater Chapter. Richard attended and graduated from Ripley High School in 1949. He was a farmer-rancher by trade and operated a dairy farm from 1951 to 1986. Richard was also an Evergreen Dealer for 53 years. Although Richard is no longer with us his memory and legacy will be kept alive through the family and friends he leaves behind which include: His very special friend and companion Sherry Marlin of 36 years and her grandchildren: Lecy Marlin and William Shea, 1 Daughter: Debra Goss of Spencer, Indiana, 1 Aunt: Betty and husband Bud Petermann of Perry, Ok, 5 Cousins: Saundra and husband Fred Kukuk of Perry, Ok, Ronald Petermann of OKC, Cheryl and Steve Langstract of Stillwater, Ok, Carolyn and husband Bill Harris of Sand Springs, Ok, Carl Davis of Cleveland, Ok 2nd Cousins: Tammy and husband Darren Billingsley, Tim Kukuk, Chad Petermann, Tygen Kukuk, Kyla Langstract, Josh and Jordan Billingsley. Richard is survived by a host of long time friends and neighbors. Services are under the care and direction of Palmer Marler Carberry Funeral Home.
