Richard Mornhinweg

Richard Douglas Mornhinweg, 68 of Stillwater, OK was welcomed into his eternal home on Thursday, August 18, 2016. Services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Stillwater.
A celebration of Ricks life is scheduled for 2pm Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Sunnybrook Christian Church in Stillwater, OK. Private interment will follow in the Ceres cemetery in Red Rock, OK at a later date. A visitation will be held Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at the funeral home from 1-8pm. Family will receive guests from 6-8pm.
Rick was born January 17, 1948 in Perry, OK to O. V. and Willene (Luter) Mornhinweg. He grew up in the Red Rock area and attended Red Rock Schools. After graduation, he attended NOC for 2 years and then OSU where he obtained his Bachelors degree in Business. He was employed by OSU Physical plant for 44 years.
Rick and Dolores Do Painter were married on August 6, 1983 in Stillwater, OK where they made their home. They were blessed with 2 sons, Anton Virgil Tony and Arland Winfield Arlie. Rick enjoyed hunting quail, woodworking, growing plants, and spending time with his family. Rick was a faithful member of Sunnybrook Christian church. Serving the Lord everyday was a priority in his life. He was a humble, kind man who will be missed by many.
Survivors include his wife Do of the home. Two sons; Anton V. Mornhinweg of Lexington Park, MA, and Arland W. Mornhinweg of Stillwater, OK. Two brothers; Dale Barnett, and Steve Mornhinweg and wife Claudia both of Stillwater, OK. One Sister; Melanie Williams and husband Dennis of Red Rock, OK. One Aunt, one Uncle, and many Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
