ROBERT "BOB" CLINTON LAYTON Memorial services for Robert "Bob" Clinton Layton are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 16, 2007 at the Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Leslie Washnock officiating. Mr. Layton was born on April 9, 1937 to Clinton and Ruby (Burnside) Layton in Pawnee, Oklahoma. He grew up and attended school in Perry, while in high school he was a wrestler. Mr. Layton was in the Untied States Army and the Oklahoma National Guard. Bob was engaged in the upholstery business and owned and operated Bob"s Custom Upholstery for over 47 years. His hobbies included fishing, fishing, fishing, and hunting. The highlight of Bob"s life was his family and spending time with his friends at the Sooners Corner or at Sooner Lake fishing. Bob passed from this life on November 14, 2007 at his residence at the age of 70 years. He is survived by: 2 daughters: Vicki Veit and husband Larry of Morrison, OK. Jody Warren (Bobbi Jo) and husband Dennis of Pawnee, OK. 2 brothers: Harry Hughes of Perry, OK. Frank Hughes of Ripley, OK. 1 sister: Mary Holsenbake of Perry, OK. 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Niece: Phyllis Smith of Perry, OK. Nephew: Loyd Hughes of Perry, OK. He had a host of nieces, nephews and friends He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 Sisters: Mercine Hughes and Margaret Graham.
