Rolando Garcia Perales

Rolando Garcia Perales, 39, of Stillwater, OK, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at the OSU Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. Services have been entrusted to the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater.

A Vigil Prayer Service and Rosary will take place on Friday, October 23 at 6:30PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 1PM at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Stillwater with Father O’Brien officiating, and Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will include his friends and his beloved nephew, who was like a son to him.

Rolando was born on September 11, 1981 in Comonfort, Guanajuato, Mexico. He came to the United States at a young age and married the love of his life, Maricela Velasquez Garcia. They had two children, Sergio and Ashli.

Mr. Garcia worked hard his entire life and was employed in concrete construction. He was a good friend and helped all he knew in any way he could. He also used his English skills to help his friends in need. He was an active member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and regularly attended weekly Bible study.

Rolando loved his two children dearly and was very proud of them. He would lovingly say to his son, Sergio, “Quien es mi papi”, and always wanted his daughter, Ashli, to remember these words: “Eres la luz de mis ojos.”

Survivors include his wife, two children, his sister, Laura Garcia, nephew, Isai Garcia; many siblings and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria Teresa Perales, whom he loved with all of his heart and is now united with.
