Roscoe Ray (Bud) Jarvis passed away at his home on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at the age of 82 after a short illness. Graveside service will be held at 2:00p.m. on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at Carney Cemetery, in Carney, Oklahoma. Viewing and visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 3 from 9:00a.m.to 8:00p.m. at Dighton Marler Funeral Home, Stillwater. Dighton Marler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Bud was born on July 19, 1936 in Carney, Ok to Roscoe D. and Flora Emde Jarvis. He attended Perkins schools followed by several years of custom harvesting. Bud returned to Perkins with his wife Carol Schultz Jarvis and their three children to live on the farm where he grew up. In addition to farming and the dairy he was a driller in the oil field. He enjoyed looking after the cattle and the challenge of keeping all the farm equipment in working order.
His grandchildren and great grandchildren were a great joy.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sisters Flora D. Hutson and Wilma Jean Haining. Also a granddaughter Katelyn Jarvis.
He is survived by his wife Carol of Perkins, his children, Donald Jarvis of Gafney, South Carolina, Frankie Boyce of Perry, Ok, Dale Jarvis of Clearwater, Florida. His grandchildren Holly Boyce Sawatzky of Coyle, Ok. and Mason Jarvis of Tulsa, Ok., great granddaughters, Macie and Avery Sawatzky.
