Ruby Belle Bible

Ruby B. Bible, 97, passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Stillwater Municipal Hospital. Services have been entrusted to Palmer Marler Carberry Funeral Home and will be held 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Eagle Heights Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery.
Ruby was born on December 13, 1913 in May, Texas to Arnold and Bertha (Sudderth) Turpin. She was married to her high school sweetheart, Howard E. Bible, on November 23, 1934 in Rising Star, Texas. They moved to Stillwater in 1968. The couple celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary before Mr. Bible's death in December, 1999. She was a charter member of Eagle Heights Baptist Church, an Eastern Star for more than 50 years, taught Sunday school and worked in vacation Bible school for many years, was a homeroom mother, and was actively interested in all her children's school activities. She enjoyed sewing, reading and cooking.
She is survived by her son H. E. Bible, Jr. and wife Patty of Stillwater; daughters Barbara (B.J.) Bryant of Stillwater and Dorothea Bible of Rockwall, TX; granddaughter Sherri Longan and husband Troy of Stillwater, and two great granddaughter, Mandy Long and husband Blaine of Stillwater. and great granddaughter Megan Longan and her fiance Alex Shafer of Stillwater, sister Alto West of Sugarland, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, and four sisters.
