Ruby Lee Lanier

Long time resident of Perkins, Oklahoma Ruby Lee Lanier passed away Saturday April 28, 2007 at the age of 70 years. Ruby was born November 26, 1936 to William Buce and Bertie Jane Malicoat Buce in Lubbock, Texas. She lived in California for 26 years and has resided in Perkins for the last 30 years. Ruby was a waitress by trade in her earlier years. She had many hobbies such as bowling, crafting and crocheting. Her favorite love was her family and grandchildren. Ruby was a member of the Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband Gordon (Shorty) Lanier, 1 Daughter: Theata Vila, 2 infant children and her parents. Although she is no longer with us her memory and legacy will be kept alive through the family and friends she leaves behind which include: 3 sons: William and Linda Northcutt of Perkins, Ok, Gordon (Shorty) and Karolyn Lanier of Tryon, Ok, Marvin and Mary Lanier of Glenburnie, Maryland, 2 Daughters: Charlene and Wayne Wilson of Everett, Washington, Valerie Manning of Perkins, Ok, 1 Brother: Marvin Buce of Tacoma, Washington, 15 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren and a host of long time friends and neighbors. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday May 2, 2007 at Immanuel Baptist Church of Perkins, Oklahoma. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
