Ryan Joe Keeler, age 15, passed away Friday, November 1, 2019 at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Ok. Funeral services have been entrusted to the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Perry.
Services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Thursday, November 7th, 2019 at the Coyle Public School gymnasium in Coyle, Ok. Reverend Josh Bell will officiate. Interment will follow at Grace Hill Cemetery in Perry. Pallbearers will be Tony Nguyen, Alex Fowble-Nguyen, Joseph Nguyen, Damien Lamb-King, Chance Thomas, Christopher Christian, Brody Cromes, Joseph Nquyen and Eddie Hopkins. Honorary pallbearer is Kim Uan Nguyen.
Ryan was born on October 6th, 2004 in Stillwater, Oklahoma to Tammy Nguyen Keeler and Rick Keeler. He lived in Coyle, Ok, with his Aunt Janice Hopkins and was a student at Coyle Public Schools. Ryan was a polite young man that you could always rely on to help if you asked. After meeting new people, they always commented on his excellent manners and sweet personality. His friends will miss how he was always there for them and made any stressful situation better.
Ryan was always up for a fishing trip and went frequently with his Papa Nguyen over the years. They often brought back catfish, bass, and stripers to cook up at home. His love of outdoors took him all over the family farm in Coyle and out fishing even more with his Aunt Laura.
Other times, Ryan could be found playing video games online with friends, hunting for the next big deer, or spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his parents, Tammy Nguyen Keeler and Rick Keeler; special aunt, Janice Hopkins of Coyle, OK.; special uncle, Tony Nguyen of Perry, OK; three aunts, Angela Nguyen Breunig, Louise Sproles, and Laura Hopkins of Coyle, OK; a special great Aunt, Lau Nguyen of Perry, OK; other great aunts and uncles, Phan Nguyen, Huynh Nguyen, Phung Nguyen, Oanh Nguyen, Kim Uan Nguyen, Lisa Thuy Nguyen, and Bach Yen Nguyen; five close cousins, Amy Nguyen of Dallas, TX., Alex Fowble-Nguyen of Perry, OK, Joseph and Riley Nguyen of Florida, and Eddie Hopkins of Coyle, OK; and many other cousins and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his beloved Papa, Kiem Nguyen, of Perry; grandparents, Ed and Jessie Hopkins; uncle, Edward Jo Hopkins, and a Great Uncle of Perry.
An account has been set up at Coyle School to take donations for medical and funeral costs. Donations can be made at the Superintendent’s Office at Coyle Schools in person at 700 S. Cottingham Avenue or mailed to PO Box 287, Coyle, Ok. 73027 Attention: Medical & Funeral Expenses, Keeler Family.
