Memorial services for Scotty Ray Saunders, 18, of Stillwater, OK are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 26, 2008 at Calvary Assembly of God with Pastor Rusty Rhoads officiating. Services have been entrusted to Palmer Marler Carberry Funeral Home.
Scotty was born on June 29, 1990 in Stillwater, OK to Ray Clapp and Ella Saunders. He grew up and attended schools in Stillwater and Morrison, graduating from Morrison Junior High School where he was on the wrestling team. He was going to be a senior at Stillwater High School where he played football and soccer and ran track. He was currently enrolled in the auto body program at Meridian Technology Center. He was a member of the Native American Association, Wild Life Preserve, the YMCA, and Calvary Assembly of God. His hobbies included cars, fishing, hunting, skateboarding, weightlifting, riding horses, auto body, and the orchestra, where he played the cello, violin, drums, and piano. He worked for Mexico Joes and G & M Body Shop. He was a very smart, funny, and talented young man. Scotty passed from this life on Monday, July 21, 2008 in Oklahoma City.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Donald Clapp and one aunt, Becky Waters.
He is survived by his mother, Ella Mae Saunders of Stillwater, OK; his dad, Ray Clapp of Stillwater, OK; three sisters, Destinee Saunders, Hope Clapp, and Anna Clapp all of Stillwater, OK; grandparents, Mary and Bill Saunders of Morrison, OK and Wanda and Jack Roberts of Guthrie, OK; two aunts, Tina Dorame and her husband, Felipe Jr. and Julie Saunders; one uncle, Billy Saunders II; godparents, Todd Smith of Stillwater, OK, Tim Smith of Norman, OK, and Jennifer and Earl Cook, Jr. of Stillwater, OK. He is also survived by Sarah Trezise and her family of Stillwater, OK; and numerous other family members.
