Shannon Risley

Shannon R. Risley, 49, of Stillwater, Oklahoma passed away on June 25, 2022. Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater has been entrusted with her final care. Visitation will be Sunday, July 3rd 2022 - 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and Tuesday, July 5 – 8:00 to noon at the Dighton-Marler Funeral Home Chapel, 5106 N. Washington, Stillwater, OK. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at the Stroud Cemetery, in Stroud, OK at 3 PM.

Shannon was born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1972 in Cushing, Oklahoma to Thomas and Marcella Murray Hixon. She grew up in the Stroud area and graduated from high school there in the class of 1991. She married Alex Risley on July 13, 1996 in Tulsa.

Shannon worked as a home health aide and caregiver. She loved playing games on her phone, fishing, camping, and most of all spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband Alex of the home and children Marci Willmon and Alex Risley, Jr., both of Stillwater. She is also survived by one brother, T.J. Hixon and sisters Shauna Andrews and Shelly Turner and her husband David.

Shannon loved and cherished her grandchildren and leaves behind Paislee Sartor, Hallee Willmon, Shyann Sartor, Katy Risley and Stella Risley.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Ethan Hixon.
