Sharee Suzzane Cook

Sharee Suzzane Cook, 61, passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022, at her home in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She was born on February 29, 1960, in Cushing, Oklahoma to Jeffrey L. Cook, Sr and Sylvia N. (Moore) Cook. Funeral Services have been entrusted to Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater.
Sharee grew up in both Cushing and Little Rock, Arkansas. While living in Little Rock she attended the historical Central High School, where she was an active member of the ROTC. She later moved back to Cushing and graduated from Cushing High School in 1978. She was an active member of the basketball team.
Sharee loved being with others, especially her family and friends. She loved singing and attending church. She was a member of the First Baptist Church North of Cushing. She also enjoyed softball, dominoes, card games, especially Biz Wiz.
She never knew a stranger and in each of the jobs she held involved socializing with people of all ages. She was the “Malt Lady” at the Cushing Middle School, and worked several years at the Cushing Head Start, Cushing School Transportation, and Attic Babies.
Sharee is survived by her father Jeffrey L Cook, Sr and wife Theresa of Cushing, OK. Her significant other of 20 plus years, Aaron Anderson of the home; her three sons, Lorenzo Cook and wife Traci, Denshio Cook and significant other Krissy Green, Ean Boyd and wife Kimberly of Oklahoma City, and daughter Jasmine Boyd, of Stillwater, OK. She is also survived by four sisters, Lynn Cook of Perkins, Deneen Dawson and husband Richard of Stillwater, Regina Tucker and husband Clifford, and Lachuna Cook of Cushing, OK; along with four brothers, Jeffery Cook, Jr of Cushing, Byron Cook of Stillwater, Jeffery Montez Cook of Perkins, and Marcus Cook of Cushing, OK.
Sharee also leaves behind grandchildren; Sylvia Cook, Cheyenne Burris and husband Marcus, Breeze Cook, Denishio Cook, Tayton Tuley and Samuel Cook; and great-grandson, Blake Smith.
Finally, she is mourned by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relative and friends, including to beloved aunts, Gussie Johnson of Cushing and Beatrice White of Fresno, CA.
Sharee was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Jimmy and Gustavia Cook, maternal grandparents, Nathaniel Moore and Almetries Chambers, and her mother Sylvia (Moore) Cook and brother Michael Cook.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at 1:00 PM at the Frist Christian Church of Cushing with burial to follow at the Silver Star Cemetery in Cushing with the Reverend Clifford Tucker Officiating. Pallbearers will be Sheldon Hagler, Curtis Tucker, Sr., Derrick Anderson, Joshua Hancock, Julian McCuland, and Alonzo Martin; nieces and great nieces will serve as flower girls.
