Shelayna Renea Knott, 28, of Orlando, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2019 in Yale, Oklahoma. Funeral services have been entrusted to the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater.
A Celebration of Shelayna’s life will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Eagle Heights Baptist Church in Stillwater, Oklahoma with Rev. Troy Withy officiating. Interment will follow at Morris Heights Cemetery in Orlando. Pallbearers will be Floyd Margason, III, Levi Hite, Bodie Chance, J.C. Chacon, Jason Denney, and David Nichols.
Shelayna was born May 21, 1991 in Stillwater, Oklahoma to Dennis and Michelle (Margason) Clary. She was a 2009 graduate of Stillwater High School. She obtained her Bachelor of Education degree from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater and was currently teaching fourth grade at Ida Freeman elementary school in Edmond where she had recently been named Teacher of the Year.
On March 12, 2011 she and David Knott were married in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Some of Shelayna’s hobbies include reading, selling makeup for Younique, traveling, spending time with family, watching movies & Disney+, riding side by sides, playing card and board games, relaxing with Riddick and David at home, listening to music, concerts, camping, and shooting guns with David. Shelayna was also a member of the Branded Cowboy Church in Lucien, Oklahoma.
Survivors include her husband David of the home; son, Riddick Dene Knott of the home; parents, Dennis and Michelle Clary of Stillwater, OK.; two sisters, McKayla Hite and husband Levi, and Danielle Clary all of Stillwater, OK., brother, Robert Clary of Arizona; grandmother, Ina Clary of Stillwater, OK., numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, colleagues, and a host of friends. Shelayna was preceded in death by her grandparents, Floyd and Glenda Margason.
