Sherri Aloha Mckinney

Sherri McKinney gained her wings on Saturday, May 22, 2021 surrounded by her family at her home in Stillwater after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 58. Services have been entrusted to the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater.

A Celebration of Sherri’s life will be held on Friday, May 28, 2021 at 6PM at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home, Stillwater.

Sherri was born June 24, 1962 in Covelo, CA to Stuart and Florena (Wisely) Brown. She graduated from High School in 1979. She married Faron McKinney in Reno, NV on April 1, 1988. Sherri spent most of her life being a housewife. Raising her children and taking care of her husband sharing her love with all of them. Some of her hobbies include art, gardening, singing, puzzles, treasure hunting, listening to music, and being outdoors. She also loved being by water and putting her feet in the sand. She will be greatly missed by so many.

Survivors include her husband, Faron of the home; her five children, Richard “Sonny” Verreras, III and wife Jackie of Jennings, OK., Racheal Gibbs and husband Trey of Greeley, CO., Lindsey Perdue and husband Justin of Stillwater, OK., Chelsea Cantrell and husband Shawn of Bristow, OK., and Nayomii McKinney of Stillwater, OK; siblings, Betty Jo Reece and husband David of Yale, OK., Sheila Burton and husband Richard of Ripley, OK., Sam Brown and wife Billie Jo of Okmulgee, OK., and Steven Brown and wife Tiffany of Oroville, CA.; grandchildren, Nevaeh, Violet, Vincent, Corbin, Keegan, Reagyn, Autumne, Nellea, Marley, Jimmy, Brooklynn, Lewisa, Barrett and Natalie; great-grandson, Jackson. She was preceded in death by parents.
