Sherry Maye Gazaway

Sherry Maye Gazaway, 76, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023, at her home in Stillwater surrounded by her family. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 24, 2023, from 9:00am to 12:30pm at Dighton Marler Funeral Home in Stillwater. Graveside service will be held on Friday, November 24, 2023, at 2:00pm at Sunset Memorial Garden Cemetery in Stillwater.

Sherry was born on August 8, 1947, in Stillwater to James C. and Betty Jo (Swindle) Spiva. She grew up in Ripley, Oklahoma and went to Ripley public school. After high school she went to NOC and St. Mary’s of the Plains and received her bachelor’s degree in nursing. Sherry was a well-rounded registered nurse and worked in many facets of her medical field from the ICU to delivering babies. She enjoyed fishing and camping and spending some free time playing the slot machines. Sherry was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Sherry is preceded in death by her parents, and her sister Janice Spiva.

She is survived by her husband Jack Ribble, her son Jim Gazaway and wife Melissa, her grandchildren, Taryn Gazaway, Ashlyn Gazaway and Brianne Browne and one great grandchild, Jaxson Wright. She is also survived by her siblings, Jane Dooley, Glen Spiva, and Connie Lewis.
