Stella Jane Miller

January 26, 1930 — March 4, 2006

Stella Jane Miller was born on January 26th, 1930 to Michael and Mary (Gaserowski) Szajkowski in Hamtramck, Michigan. She attended school and graduate from Hamtramck and then enlisted in the United States Air Force. She was united in marriage on May 30th, 1953 to Robert Miller in Hamtramck, Michigan.
The family moved to College Station, Texas and also resided in Fort Collins, Colorado and Tempe, Arizona before moving to the Stillwater area in 1970. Stella was employed at the Stillwater Medical Center as a Secretary in the Dietary Department until her Retirement in the early 1990s.
Stella is remembered as being a very outgoing individual that easily made friends. She loved and kept in touch with all of her family members and especially enjoyed spend time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed painting, gardening and bowling. In her younger years, she was a member of a bowling league and proved to be exceptional at the sport. She was also a very good seamstress and sewed many of her own clothes. She was known to be a very devoted Catholic and was very charitable. She belonged to many charitable organizations and always made a variety of charitable contributions thereof.
Stella passed away on March 4th, 2006 at her home in Glencoe, Oklahoma. She was 76 years old. She is Survived by her mother, Mary Szajkowski; her husband, Robert L. of the home; Five Sons, Stephen Leo Miller of Atlanta, Ga., Robert Michael Miller and wife Kathe of Stillwater, Ok., Joseph Anthony Miller of Colorado, Richard Roy Miller and wife Maureen of Atlanta, Ga., Timothy Louis Miller of Atlanta, Ga.; Three Grandchildren, Jacob David, Michol Malia and Ethan Kuule Miller; One sister, Evelyn Borgman; Two sister-in-laws, Margie and Carol Szajkowski ; Two Aunts, Several Nieces and Nephews, other relatives and a host of Catholic and Non-Catholic friends. Stella was preceded in death by her father, One son, Thomas V. Miller and Three brothers, Stan, Lenny and Mike Szajkowski.
Services for Stella Miller will be Wednesday, March 8th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Xavier Catholic Church in Stillwater. There will be a Rosary and Wake beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7th at St. Francis of Xavier Church. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 8:00a.m. 6:00p.m. at Palmer Marler Carberry Funeral Home.
