Stephen Dale Parli

Steve Parli, 56 of Morrison, OK passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at Stillwater Medical Center following a period of illness. The family will host a Memorial Service 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 6, 2012 in the First Christian Church in Morrison with Pastor Roy Fleshman officiating. Steve"s body will be cremated and interred in the Grace Hill Cemetery of Perry at a later date. Steve was born December 16, 1955 in Pawnee, OK the son of Robert L. and Betty Jo (Gatewood) Parli. He graduated from Morrison High School in 1974 and attended OSU. He was a longtime resident of Oklahoma City and moved to Morrison in 1998 where he worked for Chaparral Energy for a number of years. Steve loved his family and friends, had a whimsical sense of humor, a gift of conversation, and a comfort for country living. Steve was a member of the First Christian Church in Morrison. He is survived by brothers, Bob Parli (Valerie) of Alexandria, VA; Gary Parli (Dawn) of Morrison, OK and Scott Parli (Phyllis) of Perry, OK; sister, Pam Lea (Wayne) of Porter, TX; nieces, nephews and extended family. Steve also leaves behind many friends in the Morrison area including Vonda Bensing. Steve was preceded in death by his parents. An online guestbook is available at www.perrycares.com
