Steve L Cooley

Memorial services for Steven Leo Cooley, 52, of Stillwater are scheduled for 3:00 P.M. Saturday, September 26, 2009 at the familys home located at 3306 E. 63rd Ave, Stillwater with family members officiating. Services are under the direction of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Stillwater.
Steve was born on June 18, 1957 in LaCrosse, KS to Harold George and Maudie Evelyn (Corzine) Cooley. He grew up and attended schools in Kansas. He attended Ulysses High School and eventually got his G.E.D. He attended Liberal Area Vo-Tech and received a certificate in auto mechanics. Steve married Patricia Lane on July 19, 1980 in Ulysses, KS. He was employed by Hausners, Inc. as a truck driver. His hobbies included racing, fishing, and working in the yard with his grandchildren. Steve passed away in his sleep at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, September 19, 2009.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.
Steve is survived by his wife, Pat, of the home; one daughter, Christine Crozier; two grandsons, Levi and Orin Ferebee; one brother, Jack Cooley and wife, Linda of Liberal, KS; mother-in-law, Wanita Hendricks of Albany, OR; two brother in laws, Kenny Lane and wife, Heather and Bill Lane and wife, Denise; four sister in laws, Diane Parks and husband, Carl, Beverly Davis and husband, Norm, Anita Westling, and Connie Griffith and husband, Tony; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
