Steve Tanner

Stephen Ernest Tanner, 62, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2017 at his home in Stillwater, OK surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Stillwater.
He was born October 18, 1954 to Everett Ernest and Teresa Frances (Kerntke) Tanner in Fort Hood, TX. He served in the United States Navy and received an honorable discharge in 1977. Steve and Dale Carol Narvesen were married July 30, 1976 in Livingston, AL. They celebrated 40 wonderful years together.
Steve was employed at OSU as a Mechanical Maintenance Manager for the University Facilities Maintenance Department. He loved riding his motorcycles and traveling the countryside with his wife Dale, Jimmy, and friends.
He is survived by his wife Dale, of the home; mother, Teresa Frances Tanner of Stillwater, OK; two sons, Brian Crabtree of Kansas City, MO, Jimmy Tanner of Stillwater, OK; one daughter, Daina Lay and husband, Brian of Wellington, FL; four grandchildren, Scarlett Ivy, Dakota Battles, Khambi Crabtree, Trey Carney; sister, Kathrine Tanner of Stillwater, OK; brother, John Tanner and wife, Betty of Stillwater, OK; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Arthur Tanner; paternal and maternal grandparents.
A Celebration of Steves life is scheduled for 2PM Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel.
