Sue Davis, 82, of Stillwater passed away on Sunday, April 12th, 2015 surrounded by her loving children and adoring grandchildren. All her worldly health problems left behind; she entered heaven angels rejoicing with songs of love. As God met her, He exclaimed Well done, thy good and faithful servant.
A funeral service celebrating her life will be held at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at 10am. Interment will follow at South Heights Cemetery in Sapulpa, OK.
Public visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 14 from 8am to 8pm with the family greeting friends at the funeral home on Tues evening from 5pm to 8pm.
Sue was born on Tuesday, February 28th, 1933 in Milburn, Oklahoma to William West and Rosalie Selby. She was one of four children.
In January 1954, Sue married Warren Keith Davis. Of this union her two loving children were born, David Keith and Shelley Sue.
Sue and Warren operated several restaurants in Sherman and Denison, Texas. She also worked as a manager for Western Union for many years.
Sues life centered around her children and grandchildren. She lived in Stillwater Oklahoma, surrounded by her loved ones for the last 10 years and enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow into successful adults.
Sue was predeceased by her parents, her ex-husband, and her brother, John Kenneth Selby.
Sue is survived by her son, David Keith Davis and his wife, Suzy; her daughter, Shelley Sue Phillips; Grandchildren, Heather Marie Phillips-Mundy and her husband Ralph Mundy, Grant Michael Phillips, and Christin Michelle Phillips; her former son-in-law, Greg Phillips, sister, Eloise Champlain and Dorothy Gilbert.
The family will be greeting guests on Tuesday, April 14th, 2015 from 5PM 8PM at Palmer Marler Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be Wednesday, April 15th at 10AM at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel in Stillwater.
