Terri Diane Price was born on Sept 17, 1959 in Odessa, TX to Stephen and Opal (Crank) Price. She was raised in Texas, graduating from Alief High School in Houston in 1977. Following her graduation, Terri worked for the Mobil Oil Corporation in their Accounts Payable Department for over a decade. While at Mobil Oil, Terri met the love of her life, Ronny Hayes, who she married in 1988. This marriage would last more than 27 years, giving them two wonderful children - Allison in 1989, and Tyler in 1992.
In 1994, the Hayes family relocated to Glencoe, Oklahoma, where Terri accepted a position in the Purchasing Department at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. She eventually transferred to the Biochemistry Department, where she worked as an Administrative Assistant for several years. In 2002, Terri began working for the Glencoe Public School System. She spent the next 13 years employed as the Secretary for the Superintendant - a job she deeply loved.
Terri had an artistic flare and enjoyed a variety of arts and craft activities, including painting and cross-stitch. Terri was a generous and kindhearted person who always put other peoples needs before her own. She had a great sense of humor and loved to make others smile. Her easy going nature, positive attitude, and the fact that she was a good listener made her someone her friends could rely on for sound advice.
Terri Hayes was a dedicated wife, a loving mother, a caring daughter and sister, a proud grandmother, a hard working employee, and a loyal friend. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. The universe has gained a beautiful soul.
Terri is survived by her husband Ronny Hayes; her parents, Stephen and Opal Price, all of Glencoe; and her sister Debi Weissling (Dan) of San Antonio, Texas. She is also survived by a daughter, Allison Hayes, a son Tyler Hayes (Angela), a grandson Ryland Alexander, and a soon-to-be-born granddaughter, all of Stillwater. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews as well.
The family has requested that any donations be made in Terris name to Glencoe Coaches for Cancer or the American Cancer Association, in care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, 5106 N. Washington, Stillwater, OK, 74075.
Condolences may be sent to the family via an online guestbook at www.pmcfh.com.
