Terry Lee Wilcox was born November 17, 1941, in Quinton, Oklahoma, to E.C. Wilcox and Oneta May Baldwin Wilcox. He grew up in Muskogee and graduated from Muskogee High School in 1959. After high school, he joined the United States Air Force and was an honor guard member. He completed his service as an Airman 2nd Class in 1965. On October 6, 1962, he married Karen Sue Milliron at the First Christian Church in Perry. They are the parents of daughter Lisa Renee Wilcox-Carnes and son Darrick Devin Wilcox.
He attended the University of Oklahoma and graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting and later became a CPA. He soon found a job in Oklahoma City as a CPA at Billups, Arn & Masco. Terry, Karen, and their family eventually moved to Perry after Ed Malzahn recruited Terry to work for Ditch Witch. He retired after 24 years in the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO). His position took him all over the world, including 49 states and six out of seven continents (only missing Antarctica). Some of his most interesting travels were to Australia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, China, France, Germany, Belgium, and Austria.
Terry had a passion for lake life, where he loved fishing and boating at his home away from home on Lake Eufaula. His other passions in life outside of his family included all of the University of Oklahoma athletics, coaching baseball, and traveling with his family. A special trip was his visit to Alaska in 2012 with his wife, kids, son-in-law, and granddaughters. Alaska was the only state Terry had never seen.
Terry passed away the evening of Saturday, November 6, 2021, surrounded by his loving family members. He is survived by his wife Karen, daughter Lisa and husband Robbie, son Darrick, granddaughters Caitlin and Kelsey, and his brother Wayne Wilcox. He is preceded in death by his parents E.C. and Oneta Wilcox, grandson Baily Wilcox, sister-in-law Beverly Milliron Edgar and brother-in-law Rick Milliron.
