Thomas (Tom) L. Ryan, 57, of Perry took a ride on his Harley to meet with our Lord Jesus on August 3, 2016. Services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home and a service celebrating Toms life will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 3pm at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home located at 5106 N. Washington in Stillwater.
Tom was born to Walter and Darla (Clark) Ryan on January 19, 1959 in North Kansas City, MO. He grew up in Missouri and graduated High School in 1977. He joined the armed forces right out of high school and served honorably for four years. Following his honorable discharge, he married Linda DeHerrera on April 20th, 1984. Tom spent many years working as a machinist at Charles Machine Works/ Ditch Witch in Perry.
When he wasnt working, Tom could often be found working out in his yard, working with his hands, or riding his Harley Motorcycle with his fellow members of the Noble County Independent Bikers. His kind heart and friendly approachable demeanor made Tom friends anywhere he went and he truly didnt know a stranger.
Those who knew Tom best knew that nothing made him happier than being surrounded by his children and grandchildren. Tom also shared a profound bond with his wife Linda, who was the love of his life, and has always remained his best friend. He left a trail of wonderful memories and packed a tremendous amount of joy and good deeds into his short 57 years on earth and he certainly will be missed by all whom his amazing life touched.
Tom was preceded in death by his father Walter Ryan and his grandparents. He is survived by his wife Linda of Perry; his son Anthony and wife, Tina of Garber, OK; his daughter Toni of Maryland who is currently following in her Daddys footsteps by serving in the military; five grandchildren: Autumn, Richard, Big Thomas, Little Thomas, and Tucker, as well as two great-granddaughters. He is also survived by his mother, Darla Ryan and brothers Chuck and Danny and their wives, all of Missouri, as well as many nieces and nephews. It would be remiss, if Chaps, in Toms words, The cutest and smartest dog in the world, was left out.
Donations may be made in Toms honor to the Noble County Independent Bikers in care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home 203 Fir St. Perry, OK 73077.
Condolences may be sent to the family via an online guestbook at www.perrycares.com
