Tyler Gene Coddington

June 3, 1994 — October 15, 2022

Tyler Gene Coddington was born June 3, 1994 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Billy Coddington and Lori Evans. He spent his early years in Oklahoma City before moving to Tulsa where he attended East Central High School.


Tyler was very athletic and was very competitive when it came to playing sports. He enjoyed playing football, baseball, basketball, and track & field. He enjoyed spending time on the lake with family and friends, fishing, and playing his guitar & piano, which he taught himself. If you knew Tyler, you know how he loved his tools. He enjoyed working on cars and trucks as well. Tyler loved the Lord very much. He was very active in the youth group at Century Cathedral for several years with many of his friends. He enjoyed several trips to Spring Creek on church outings making memories with his church family.


Being the fun-loving young man that he was, Tyler will be greatly missed by so many. Tyler passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 15, 2022 in Tulsa at the age of 28.


He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bob Evans.


Those left to mourn his passing include his mother, Lori Evans of Bixby; siblings, Eric Coddington, Lexsis Coddington, and Mason Coddington all of Bixby; maternal grandmother, Janice Evans of Tulsa; aunt, Kari Evans of Tulsa; and numerous relatives and countless friends.


A Celebration of Tyler’s life will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 1PM at God’s Shining Light Church in Tulsa with Rev. Jim Rutherford officiating. Interment will follow at South Heights Cemetery in Sapulpa. Pallbearers will be Joshua Kaiser, Colby Hacker, Garrett Raynor, Dylan Nicholson, Tyler Laird, Zach Laird, and Jim Berryhill. Honorary pallbearers will be his cousins, Justin Daniels, Nathan Price, and Caleb Price. A visitation will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022 from 9AM to 8PM at Moore’s Southlawn Chapel in Tulsa.
