Vernon Hall Sr.

Vernon L. Hall, Sr. of Stillwater passed away on June 22, 2011. Services have been entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home and will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Sunnybrook Christian Church. His final resting place will be Mt. Hope Cemetery in Ripley at a later date. Vernon was born on December 8, 1946 to Richard and Goldie Hall in Stillwater, the oldest of 10 siblings. He grew up in the area and worked for many years as a handyman. He spent his spare time adoring his grandchildren and spending time with his dog Tootsie. He was also fond of the coffee circle at Shortcakes Diner and the Ice House. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Hall, and granddaughter, Halie. Vernon is survived by his five children Virginia Wilson and husband Rick of Coyle, Vernon Hall, Jr. and wife April of Stillwater, Zacharie Hall and wife Julie of Perkins, Joshua Hall of Wellston, and Ashley Blubaugh and husband Richie of Perkins; mother Goldie Hall; brothers and sisters Denver Hall, Gary Hall, Sharon Hughes, Billy Hall, Donna Brown, Diane McRae, Sammy Hall, George Hall, and Annette Pettie, two half siblings, twelve grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
