Vernon Williams

Eugene Vernon Williams was born was born on December 29th, 1918 to John and Carrie (Nugent) Williams in Crescent, Oklahoma. Vernon Grew up and attended school in that area and married Lillie Hall. He was employed as a laborer for the Railroad. He spent much of his life living and working in Idaho. He then moved to Guthrie, Oklahoma in 1980 and has lived in the Perry area for the past two years.
Vernon was a man that enjoyed fishing. He also liked to play cards and dominos. He was an avid gardener and grew all types of fruits and vegetables. He loved spending time with his family and especially enjoyed being around his grandchildren.
Mr. Williams passed away on March 15th, 2006 at Perry Memorial Hospital. He was 87 years old. Vernon is survived by five children, Wanda Neiman of Perry, OK, Karen Most and Husband Arlet of McCloud, OK, Elton Williams of Ponca City, OK, Nolan Williams and wife Deanne of Nevada, Shirley Burgess and husband Curtis of Red Rock, OK; 2 sisters; 1 Brother; 8 Grandsons; 5 Granddaughters; 4 Great-Grandsons; 6 Great-Granddaughters; 6 Great Great-Grandsons; 5 Great Great-Granddaughters; Several Nieces and Nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Vernon was preceded in death by his Parents, Lillie Williams, 4 Brothers, 2 Sisters and 1 Great-Granddaughter.
Services for Vernon Williams will be on Saturday March 18th at 2:00 p.m. at the Palmer Marler Carberry Funeral Home Chapel. Paul Anderson will be officiating. Interment will be at Red Rock Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, March 17th from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Palmer Marler Carberry Funeral Home.
