Victoria Tincy Jones

February 9, 1930 — March 10, 2006

Tincy Victoria Vicki Jones was born on February 9th, 1930 to Claud Jackson and Hester Ann (Anderson) Tiner in Ada, Oklahoma. She was united in marriage to L. B. Jones in Dumas, Texas on June 23rd, 1947. The family moved from Midwest City, Oklahoma to Stillwater in 1963 where she has resided since. L.B. preceded her in death on June 12th, 1995.
Vicki spent her life as a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren. In her younger years, she loved to dance and go to country and western concerts. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Beau chant Organization. She enjoyed reading, making quilts and going out to eat. She loved her dogs and had a special love for Bubba her Boston Terrier. She loved and enjoyed spending time with her friends at Golden Oaks.
Vicki passed away on March 10th, 2006 at Stillwater Medical center. She was 76 years old. She is survived by 4 children; Fred Jones and wife Gayle of Agra, OK, Frank Jones and wife Vickie of Stillwater, OK, Karen Black of Tulsa, OK, Sandy Stuart and husband Ed of Stillwater, OK; 3 sisters, Marge Ray Sliger of Marshall, TX, Pat Arney of Oklahoma City, OK, Beatrice McDonald of Stratford, OK; 1 brother, Wayne Tiner of Ada, OK; 3 grandsons, Loren Scott Davis, Will Stuart and Chris Jones; 7 granddaughters, Jacki Duncan, Kristi Jones, Kerri Ann Alexander, Ashley Ward, Sarah Lara, Janaya Charles and Jerrica Charles; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband L.B. Jones, one son-in-law, Mike Black and 7 brothers and sisters.
Services for Vicki Jones will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday March 13th at the Palmer Marler Carberry Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Gordon Edwards will officiate. Burial will be held at Fairlawn Cemetery in Stillwater. Visitation will be held at Palmer Marler Carberry Funeral Home on Saturday March 11th from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday March 12th from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. The family requests that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the American Lung Association in her name.
