A Celebration of Wallace’s life will be held on Monday, December 9, 2019 at 2PM at Mehan Church in Stillwater with Rev. Paul Dawson officiating.
Wallace was born October 17, 1926 in Carney, Oklahoma to James Alfred and Della (Gaither) Sadler. Right after graduating high school in 1945, he joined the United States Army and faithfully served his country. Then, on May 12, 1945 he and Billie Everett were married in Maysville, LA.
Wallace was a carpenter by trade. He loved building things and tinkering around with woodworking hobbies. He had some of the best fun working with the Baptist Association helping build churches around the country. He was one of the founding members of Southside Baptist Church in Stillwater where he enjoyed teaching Sunday school classes, serving as a song leader, and singing specials at church. He loved reading the Bible and telling everyone about Jesus.
He enjoyed gardening and was known for raising some the best tomatoes in Payne County. He and Billie would often fuss about the squirrels stealing his garden grub. He and Billie would always find time to team up with close family members and travel.
