William Clayton Nance Sr.

November 22, 1926 — August 4, 2010

William (Bill) Clayton Nance, Sr. passed away August 4th, 2010, at his home in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Bill was born November 22nd, 1926in Hamlin, Texas. He was a World War II veteran, serving his country in the Navy. Upon returning from the War, he and his wife, Rozanne, lived in Miami, Oklahoma until 2003. He earned his Associates of Arts degree from Northeastern Oklahoma A & M Jr. College. He was employed by B. F. Goodrich for 37 years in various management positions. He has been a long time member of the First Baptist Church in Miami, Oklahoma and the First Baptist Church in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Bill had a remarkable life, enjoying everything to the fullest. He was an honest, open, sharing person that was very devoted to his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rozanne, of 59 years. He is survived by his three children, Donna Long (Kansas City), Bill Nance, Jr. (Owasso), and Pamela Seal (Stillwater). He has four wonderful grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, Jack Nance of San Angelo, Texas. His family greatly appreciated his dear friend and caregiver, Mary McCallister. The entire family enjoyed many holidays and weekends together at their Grand Lake cabin.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, August 7th, 2010 at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel, 5106 N. Washington, Stillwater, OK. Interment will be at the G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, Oklahoma. Family will greet friends from 6pm-8pm, Friday August 6, 2010 at the funeral home.
